iTouchiLearn Words gives an interesting twist to iPhone educational apps

Nothing quite works like interaction when it comes to learning new things. Staytooned has taken this idea and come up with iTouchiLearn, where pictures come alive with a single touch on the screen.

The application works in two ways. We can either choose to listen only to the audio or watch the animation. The first format works by choosing the “ABC” image and then touching the word whose audio pronunciation we want to hear. In the second format, we need to select a thumbnail image to view it in motion. There are several given in a scrolling design, and we simply need to touch any of them to watch the animation.

The animations are colorful and amusing, and hold great appeal for kids. Most iPhone educational apps work with flashcards, and iTouchiLearn Words is a fresh perspective that kids will enjoy and also learn something new in the process. There are fifteen thumbnails to choose from, and four words to learn from each one.

iTouchiLearn is a fun way for kids to learn how to spell, pronounce and also see what words look like. It is definitely one of the better educational apps on the iPhone, and more of it would be most welcome.
